Every production AI system — whether it's powering customer support, writing code, analyzing financial data, or diagnosing medical conditions — needs the same foundational infrastructure. A way to route between models. A way to manage tools and integrate them securely. A way to orchestrate agents and enforce governance. A unified compute layer to run it all.
That infrastructure layer is being built right now.
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Representative to join our team.
We're TrueFoundry, and we're building it.
Companies are moving beyond simple chatbots to production agentic systems. These systems route between OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and self-hosted models. They integrate dozens of tools via protocols like MCP. They orchestrate multi-agent workflows where agents coordinate with other agents.
The infrastructure to support this doesn't exist yet. You can't just duct-tape together a few API calls and call it production-ready.
You need a control plane that handles:
- Intelligent routing with observability, cost policies, and fallback logic
- Centralized tool and MCP server management with security and lifecycle controls
- Agent orchestration with governance and guardrails
- A unified compute layer to run self-hosted models, custom tools, and agents
Most BDR jobs hand you a call list and a script. This one hands you a genuinely hard, genuinely interesting problem: getting platform engineering leaders, heads of AI, and CISOs at Fortune 500 companies to take a meeting about infrastructure they didn't know they needed yet. That's a harder sell than "want to save 20% on your CRM?" It's also why the people who get good at it become exceptional enterprise sellers. You'll be pitching to some of the smartest technical buyers in the industry - people who can smell a template email from the subject line - which means the craft actually matters here. And you're early. Our outbound engine is being built right now, by a team of four. The playbook isn't finished - you're one of the people writing it. In two years, when this team is twenty people, the sequences, the messaging, and the process will have your fingerprints on them.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Hunt: Own outbound across email, LinkedIn, and phone. Research accounts, find the right stakeholders, and craft outreach that gets replies from people who ignore 99% of what hits their inbox. Tools you'll live in: Nooks, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, and an AI-assisted stack we keep sharpening.
- →Run real discovery: Not "checking BANT boxes" - actual conversations with technical buyers where you uncover whether there's a genuine problem worth an AE's time. The quality of what you hand off is how you'll be judged, not just the quantity.
- →Work triggers, not lists: New AI hires, funding rounds, compliance mandates, a competitor outage - you'll learn to spot the moments when a cold account becomes a warm one.
- →Show up where buyers are. Industry events and conferences, virtual and in-person. Some of the best pipeline starts with a good conversation at a booth.
- →Feed the machine. What you hear from prospects every day is the freshest market intel the company has. You'll work directly with sales leadership and marketing to sharpen positioning based on it - and they'll actually listen, because the team is small enough that they have to.
- →Keep the system honest. Clean Salesforce, disciplined follow-up, real notes. We run on data here; sloppy CRM hygiene is how great pipeline dies quietly..
- You write well, fast. Most of your job lives or dies on whether a busy VP reads past your first sentence. If writing a sharp 60-word email sounds like fun rather than a chore, good sign.
- You'll pick up the phone. You don't have to love cold calling. You do have to do it, and get better at it.
- You're genuinely curious about AI infrastructure. Our buyers can tell within 30 seconds whether you've done the homework. The BDRs who thrive here actually find this stuff interesting - gateways, LLM routing, model governance - and it shows in their outreach.
- You have 2+ years in outbound, ideally selling to technical audiences or in B2B SaaS. If you've sold developer tools, cloud infra, MLOps, or security products before, even better - but hunger and curiosity beat a perfect resume.
- You want to build, not just execute. Early team means ambiguity, iteration, and a real say. If you need a finished playbook handed to you, this will be uncomfortable. If that sentence excited you, apply.
- A front-row seat in one of the fastest-moving categories in enterprise software, at the stage where individual contributors still shape the company
- Direct access to leadership - not "skip-level once a quarter," but working alongside them weekly
- A real career path: this team is explicitly designed to grow BDRs into Account Executives and senior sales roles
- Competitive salary + uncapped commissions - the comp plan is built so overachievement actually pays
- Team offsites - the last one was in Phuket, and yes, that's a recruiting tactic, and yes, it's working on you right now
