Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Line of Business Leaders to ensure manufacturing plans are aligned to Product Roadmaps.
  • Responsible for End of Line Testing Equipment, Parameters, scripts and Capex associated
  • Lead, Develop and implement manufacturing plans for assigned new products according to NPDI program
  • Lead and Provide direct support for plant-to-plant product transfers and new product development programs.
  • Support Vertiv manufacturing operations using standard processes, equipment, and manufacturing methods. 
  • Identify, justify, pilot, and commission Advanced Manufacturing technologies, processes, equipment, and practices. Capital projects that support Growth, NPDI, Product Transfers, Technical Capacity and Footprint associated
  • Provide support for manufactured cost analyses of new and existing products. 
  • Responsible for the execution of Manufacturing Readiness Checklist and deliverables of NPDI Process
  • Leader for Manufacturing Prototype builds along with the local operation team to achieve 2 weeks LT
  • Accountable and Supportive Role for Engineering Prototype builds with Design Engineering
  • Actively intervenes in growth strategies for assigned BU, footprint and technical capacity definition – Enables growth for Assembly, Fabrication, Testing, Infrastructure using latest simulation techniques, Digital Twin, Digital Factory
  • Implement best manufacturing practices for existing processes and provide multi-site manufacturing engineering support. 
  • Assist with business-critical capital projects including facility planning, layout, and cost justification. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Science Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Business Operations Management and 5+ years manufacturing experience
  • Preferred - MSME/IE/MBA and 3+ years manufacturing experience
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or certifications.
  • PC working knowledge (MS Office, PDM system, CADD, Minitab) 
  • Facility or Production Line Layout development (using AutoCad or equivalent)
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of assembly and fabrication processes 
  • Knowledge of Design tools, methods, and new technologies
  • Working knowledge of financial and business applications 
  • Skill in vendor analysis and negotiations 
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization 
  • Effective use of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma process improvement tools. 
  • Preferred: Material Requirements Planning proficiency (ERP/MRP software)
  • Preferred: Experience supporting manufacturing of system-level Configured products (containing controls and an HMI)
  • Preferred: Experience compiling and submitting Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR’s)
  • Extensive knowledge of formalized Advanced and Lean Manufacturing applications.
  • Extensive experience in New Product Development and Product Transfers.
  • Strong Manufacturing toolset for line definition, work content, Process control, material handling and flow, ergonomics, simulation and optimization techniques for existing processes
  • Excellent vertical communication, interpersonal, and motivation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively; ability to coach, train, facilitate and lead teams effectively in a transformational work environment.
  • Demonstrated strong project management and technical skills; analytical skills; PC skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through team building and teamwork. Focus on Execution, Bias for Action

Minimum: 

BSME/IE/Business Operations Management and 5-7 years manufacturing experience

Equivalent Professional Experience – 7 years of proven career and expertise
