The Role
Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a valued HR partner to company leaders and associates and the point of contact for assigned organizations in the company. This high-profile role will work with all levels of the company in both a hands-on and strategic capacity. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment while aligning business goals to people initiatives that deliver results. This role requires a hybrid presence at the Danbury HQ 3 days/week.
Serve as a full-service Human Resources Business Partner to assigned departments, providing trusted, proactive guidance and partnership to leaders across all HR disciplines
Operate as a hands-on, solutions-oriented partner, balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR support
Deliver expertise in performance management, career development, coaching, compensation, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness
Partner with leadership to manage and evolve compensation programs, including salary planning and variable pay
Lead employee relations matters, conducting fair, compliant investigations and promoting an inclusive, high-performing workplace
Support managers in goal setting, feedback, performance improvement, and corrective actions
Oversee annual performance reviews and 360 feedback processes
Drive talent strategies, including workforce planning, attraction, development, and retention of top talent.
Support hiring efforts through job design, interviewing, and selection decisions.
Lead engagement and culture initiatives, including events and recognition programs aligned with company values
Conduct stay and exit interviews, translating insights into actionable retention strategies
Align HR programs and initiatives with business goals and operational priorities
Partner on communication and rollout of HR and company-wide initiatives to ensure adoption
Support payroll and benefits administration as needed
Contribute to cross-functional projects and continuous improvement efforts within HR and the broader organization.
Model company values
Bachelor’s degree; HR Certification preferred (SHRM, HRCI)
4-6 years as an HR Generalist, growth oriented
Corporate HR experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
Good knowledge/application of employment law as it relates employee relations and recruiting
Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, compliance and practices and experience in leading, developing and executing HR projects and programs
Ability to work effectively with all levels of leadership and exercise discretion
Strong networking and people interaction skills.
Ability to learn and articulate company direction and goals in an exciting and positive manner
Excellent organizational skills with emphasis on follow-up
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high expectations for engagement
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Strong computer skills – proficiency with MS Office and ability to understand new technologies quickly
Experience with ADP Workforce Now and/or other HRIS preferred
Demonstrated ability to practice a high level of confidentiality
Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills
Periodic travel up to 20% required (other company locations)
