Senior General Liability Associate- 3575358

Out client, a respected national litigation firm, is seeking a Senior General Liability Associate Attorney to join our New York office. This role focuses on New York Labor Law (Sections 240/241) and General Liability litigation. This is a unique opportunity to gain meaningful litigation experience on high-stakes cases while working alongside nationally recognized trial attorneys.

As a key member of our team, you’ll work on a wide variety of complex civil defense matters, including:

• →Handling all phases of litigation from intake through resolution or trial
• →Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents
• →Conducting legal research and analysis
• →Taking and defending depositions
• →Attending court conferences, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
• →Communicating with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel
• →Collaborating with partners on litigation strategy



This is a hybrid position with a flexible mix of remote and in-office work.

• Active license to practice law in New York (required)
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience handling NYS Labor Law Sections 240/241 and general liability matters
• Strong background in civil defense litigation, including pleadings, motions, depositions, and discovery
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage deadlines and case strategy
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience in mediation, arbitration, or trial is a plus
• Dual licensure in CT, PA, NJ, or another jurisdiction is a plus
