Multi-Site Leasing Consultant (Conventional, MF)
Overview
The Multi-Site Leasing Consultant supports multiple conventional, market-rate multifamily communities by providing high-quality leasing, sales, and customer service coverage where it is needed most. This role is designed for a flexible, results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, adapts quickly to different communities, and plays a critical role in maintaining occupancy, leasing velocity, and resident satisfaction across assigned sites.
Location: Downtown South Bend, IN
Work Schedule: This position typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. From time to time, additional hours or occasional Saturday work may be required to support business needs, property operations, or team coverage. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible.
Reports to: Regional Property Manager (Conventional, Multifamily)
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Sales Performance
- Serve as the primary leasing point of contact at assigned communities during coverage periods
- Conduct apartment tours (in-person and virtual) and follow up with prospects through phone, email, text, and in-person communication
- Convert leads to leases by effectively presenting community features, pricing, availability, and lease terms
- Execute new leases, renewals, and required documentation in accordance with company policies and Fair Housing regulations
- Meet or exceed leasing goals, occupancy targets, and lead-to-lease conversion expectations
- Support retention efforts by assisting with renewals, transfers, and resident communication
Resident Experience & Customer Service
- Deliver a professional, welcoming, and consistent customer experience to prospects and residents
- Respond promptly to walk-ins, phone calls, emails, and online inquiries in alignment with leasing response standards
- Partner with maintenance and property teams to follow up on service needs and resident requests
- De-escalate resident concerns with professionalism and escalate issues appropriately when needed
- Represent the company positively within the community and with ownership groups
Administrative, Marketing & Compliance Support
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain prospect, applicant, and resident data in property management and CRM systems
- Manage and follow up on leads generated through ILS platforms (e.g., Apartments.com, Zillow, RentCafe)
- Process applications, screenings, verifications, and compliance documentation in a timely manner
- Ensure leasing offices, model units, and tour paths are clean, organized, and presentation-ready
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local Fair Housing laws and participate in required compliance training
- Provide feedback to leadership on leasing trends, prospect feedback, and operational opportunities
Multi-Site Coverage & Flexibility
- Float between multiple assigned communities based on leasing demand, staffing needs, PTO coverage, vacancies, lease-ups, or special initiatives
- Quickly learn and adapt to different community layouts, pricing structures, and operational processes
- Provide short-notice or scheduled coverage as business needs evolve
- Support lease-up, stabilization, or rapid-response leasing efforts as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in real estate, business, or hospitality preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in multifamily leasing, property management, hospitality, or customer-facing sales preferred
- Experience working across multiple sites, in a floating role, or in high-volume leasing environments strongly preferred
- Experience with market-rate, conventional multifamily communities preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong sales mindset with the ability to close leases and achieve performance goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly adaptable, organized, and comfortable working in changing environments
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple onsite teams
- Strong time-management skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with leasing software and CRM systems (Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, OneSite, or similar preferred)
- Ability to work weekends and evenings based on leasing schedules and business needs
