Build's domain experts are the edge of the product. Every hour of their expertise that becomes software is an hour that compounds across every client we serve - and a great deal of that expertise is still trapped in manual, repeated work.

This role sits beside them, in the room, and builds whatever removes it. On a spectrum from infrastructure engineer to customer-facing engineer, you sit at the far customer-facing end: you decide what to build by talking to the person who needs it, you build it, and you own whether it worked.

You are accountable for converting expert judgment into working software, and for the delivery team needing less of its own time to produce more.

You can expect to:

• Embed with the domain team and learn their work well enough to automate it

• Build agentic workflows and internal tools that take real work off their plate

• Ship in front of the user and iterate on what you learn in the room

• Turn repeated expert judgment into software that holds up in production

• Own your work end-to-end: design, build, deploy, observe, evolve

• Bring engineering rigour to workflows that have never had any

• Feed what you learn back into the core product

• Decide what is worth building, without waiting for a specification
