Reporting directly to the Sous Chef, the Prep Cook is responsible for ingredient preparation and production support to ensure efficient daily kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Wash, peel, chop, slice, portion, and prepare ingredients.
- Prepare sauces, dressings, soups, stocks, and other foundational recipes.
- Assist with bakery and dessert preparation as needed.
- Set up prep stations and organize ingredients.
- Support cooks during peak production periods.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Maintain clean prep areas and equipment.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
Requirements
~1 min read- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in hot, cold, and fast-paced kitchen environments.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and operate commercial kitchen equipment safely.
- California Food Handler Card required.
- Culinary training or kitchen experience preferred.
