Responsibilities
~2 min readWe're looking for an Account Executive - International Payments & FX with deep expertise in FX and cross-border payments to drive new business across Colombia. You understand how treasury and finance teams manage currency exposure, international supplier payments, and FX conversions — and you know how to make a compelling case for doing it differently.
This is an enterprise-focused role. The ideal candidate comes from a large casa de cambio, a bank's FX desk, or a fintech operating in the cross-border payments space. You know the product, you know the buyer, and you know how to compete.

Own the full sales cycle for International Payments and FX accounts — from first strategic conversation to contract signature.

Lead high-stakes conversations with CFOs, Treasurers, and Finance Directors at companies with significant cross-border payment flows or FX exposure.

Position Clara's FX offering against traditional bank solutions and FX desks, with a clear value proposition around speed, cost, and transparency.

Build and maintain a rigorous pipeline in HubSpot, with accurate forecasting and deal hygiene.

Coordinate internally via Slack and Google Drive with Risk, Compliance, and Product to structure deals for clients with complex FX or multi-currency needs.

Stay sharp on market dynamics — FX rates, regulatory changes, and competitive movements — to advise clients credibly and win trust quickly.
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Requirements

Minimum 5 to 8 years of B2B sales experience in FX, cross-border payments, or international treasury sales.

Proven background in a large casa de cambio, bank FX desk, or cross-border payments fintech.

Deep understanding of FX products: spot, forward contracts, hedging strategies, and multi-currency payment flows.

Experience selling to Treasurers, CFOs, and Finance Directors at enterprise companies.

Strong network in the corporate FX or treasury space in Colombia.

Experience or interest in AI tools to automate workflows.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Adaptability to fast-changing environments and a proven track record of execution.
Nice to Have

Experience with SWIFT, correspondent banking, or regulated cross-border payment rails.

Familiarity with multi-entity corporate treasury structures and netting arrangements.

Independent analytical skills using spreadsheets, SQL, or Python to model FX scenarios.

Knowledge of FX regulatory requirements in Colombia.

Claridians in a hybrid mode split their time between working from the office, talking to or visiting customers, or working from home.
