ABOUT THE ROLE
The Business Development Analyst is responsible for supporting the Business Development team in the origination of utility-scale solar and storage opportunities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Perform accurate analyses to assist with PPA negotiations and other utility transactions.
- Support the sourcing efforts for new project sites based on the Clēnera land acquisition strategy and development approach.
- Collaborate with others to support the preparation responses to Requests for Proposals.
- Research and interpret market rules and regulations, while also keeping up to date on solar and energy storage market trends.
- Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.
- Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.
- Demonstrates the Clēnera Core Values of Caring, Committed, and Courageous.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field.
- Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.
- Skills/Attributes:
- Ability to work with tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to analyze financial models, and performance metrics.
- Understanding of energy pricing models, regulatory frameworks, and forecasting techniques using tools like Python or R for quantitative analysis.
- Able to convey ideas clearly and listen actively to foster understanding and collaboration.
- Quickly adjusts to evolving priorities and organizational needs while maintaining focus on outcomes.
