We are currently looking to hire a Director of Risk Advisory to join our Corporate team in Kirkland! This position allows for remote working arrangements within the United States.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for leading the continued evolution and growth of Concentric Advisors’ Business Development and Risk Advisory practices by integrating exceptional client service, strategic business development, scalable methodologies, and operational excellence into a unified consulting practice. Working with the Chief Growth & Strategy Officer and VP of Risk Advisory, this role is responsible for growing revenue, expanding client relationships, building delivery capacity, and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across the Risk Advisory portfolio. While remaining engaged in select client consulting, the Director’s primary responsibility is to build a sustainable, scalable practice capable of supporting Concentric’s long-term growth strategy.

The Director of Risk Advisory position is expected to evolve as the practice grows. Initially, the Director will remain heavily engaged in client delivery while simultaneously expanding Risk Advisory capabilities, developing systems and methodology, supporting business development, and building a scalable delivery team. After the first 6 months or so, the role will shift to 40% business development focused, 40% Risk Advisory, and 20% program management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads Concentric’s Business Development efforts with a split portfolio — providing Risk Advisory consulting services directly to clients while driving business development growth for the Risk Advisory and Retainer Partnership service lines.
  • Business Development responsibilities:

    • Expand Risk Advisory’s contribution to firm-wide revenue growth by identifying opportunities for both new clients and expanded services within existing client relationships.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients with ongoing advisory or retainer relationships.
    • Collaborate with Business Development to strengthen proposal quality, competitive positioning, and client engagement strategies.
    • Identify opportunities where Risk Advisory serves as an entry point to additional Concentric service lines.
    • Manages Concentric’s retainer and partnership client relationships, serving as the primary point of accountability for clients on ongoing advisory agreements.
  • Risk Advisory Service Delivery responsibilities:
    • Lead the continued development of Concentric’s Risk Advisory practice, in collaboration with the Vice President of Risk Advisory and the Chief Growth & Strategy Officer.
    • Build scalable systems that support consistent, high-quality consulting delivery.
    • Establish and maintain service methodologies, assessment frameworks, deliverable standards, templates, and quality assurance processes.
    • Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and client value.
    • Maintain direct client engagement to ensure continued market awareness and practical application of Risk Advisory methodologies. Serve as a senior Risk Advisory leader and deliver high-value consulting engagements, including:
      • Physical security assessments
      • Security program reviews
      • Fractional security director services
      • Emergency management planning
      • Workplace violence prevention and response
      • Personal security advisories and training
      • Security program development
      • Ad hoc strategic consulting
    • Manage the Risk Advisory consulting pipeline from initial client engagement through project completion by:
      • Leading client discovery conversations
      • Developing proposals
      • Coordinating consulting delivery
      • Supporting report production
      • Coordinating administrative and invoicing functions
      • Ensuring consistent client communication
      • Supporting continuous improvement across consulting operations
  • Leadership Responsibilities:
    • Recruit, coach, and develop personnel supporting the Risk Advisory practice, including:
      • Employees
      • Contractors / 1099 Advisors
      • Part-time personnel
    • Provide direct supervision and leadership to Business Development personnel in support of the Risk Advisory practice.
    • Support the creation of a scalable field advisor model capable of expanding Concentric’s consulting capacity while maintaining consistent quality standards.
    • Work closely with the CGSC and Vice President of Risk Advisory to identify staffing needs, succession planning opportunities, and long-term organizational capability.

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, risk management, criminal justice, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in risk consulting, corporate security, or physical security assessment
  • Demonstrated experience leading consulting engagements and managing a project pipeline

  • This position requires up to 40% travel.
