Chemical Sales Engineer Location: Johannesburg, South Africa Position Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and driven Chemical Sales Engineer with a strong background in sales and a minimum of five years of experience in a technical sales environment. The role requires a blend of technical understanding of products and the ability to build relationships with clients to drive sales growth. Responsibilities: Generate new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, and research within the target market. Understand customer needs and requirements to align our products and services with their business objectives. Conduct presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of our products. Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits while maintaining customer satisfaction. Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that product specifications meet customer needs. Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of five years' experience in chemical product sales or technical sales, demonstrating a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Proficiency in sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients. Strong technical acumen with the ability to relay complex information clearly and persuasively. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the capacity to work independently.
