This may include electric, gas, water, and multi-service utilities. Customer challenges may include streamlining operations and preparing for, responding to, and coordinating recovery from outages. You will manage a defined portfolio of accounts; specific account assignments are shared during the hiring process.
  • Build deep knowledge of utility operations, buying structures, industry priorities, and the SaaS
    solutions available to customers.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through targeted research, outreach, prospecting, and
    opportunity development within utility accounts.
  • Create relationships with multiple decision-makers and influencers within complex
    organizations.
  • Lead consultative, value-based sales cycles directly and in partnership with channel partners.
  • Advance and close enterprise opportunities, including deals exceeding $100,000 in annual
    contract value.
  • Develop and execute utility-focused sales programs with Marketing, Business Development, and
channel partners to reach priority buyers and create pipeline.
  • Meet or exceed sales and quarterly bookings goals; maintain accurate opportunity, forecast, and
    activity records in Salesforce.
  • At least 5 years of successful enterprise SaaS sales experience specifically selling into the utilities industry, with a demonstrated record of winning large accounts in power generation, transmission, distribution, or other large public or private utilities.
  • Experience developing and executing sales programs for the utilities industry, with measurable results in pipeline creation or revenue growth.
  • Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, written communication, and closing skills.
  • History of meeting or exceeding quota, supported by measurable results.
  • Comfort using Salesforce and applying AI tools to improve research, productivity, or sales workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work from the United States, live within practical reach of a major airport, and travel at least 30%.
  •
  • Experience opening new markets or winning new customers (“hunter” sales experience).
  • Success growing revenue in existing utility accounts and building durable relationships across utility buying teams.
  • Deep utility industry experience and established relationships across power generation, transmission, distribution, or other large utility organizations; 15 or more years of relevant experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing a high volume of opportunities and navigating security-conscious buying environments; an active security clearance is a plus.
