Carolina Ale House is seeking an energetic and skilled Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team in Myrtle Beach, SC!
As the Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Kitchen Manager in overseeing all kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences to our valued customers. This is a full-time position requiring flexibility with work schedule including working late nights and weekends. The average number of working hours are 55 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong focus on food quality and safety standards.
- Assist in implementing strategies to reduce waste and control food costs.
- Train and develop kitchen staff.
- Place food and smallware orders as needed.
- Perform line and prep functions alongside hourly employees.
- Ensure the kitchen is well-organized and stocked.
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years working in a back of house role in leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive, upbeat attitude when under pressure.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering top-quality dishes.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
