Foundation Risk Partnersone of the fastest-growing insurance brokerages in the country, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Executive to join our Louisville team. This role is ideal for a client-focused insurance professional who enjoys building relationships, leading complex accounts, developing marketing strategies, and serving as a trusted advisor to middle-market commercial clients.

The Commercial Lines Account Executive serves as the primary service contact for assigned clients and supports Producers in the development, marketing, placement, and retention of commercial insurance programs. This position requires strong technical insurance knowledge, excellent client relationship skills, and the ability to independently manage complex accounts while delivering exceptional service.

  • Participates in developing retention strategy and new business acquisition meetings
  • Gather underwriting information including applications, exhibits, narratives, and loss runs.
  • Works independently of producer on placement of risk
  • Develops marketing strategy
  • Leads in cross sell opportunities
  • Maintains open item checklists/timelines
  • Responsible for major project deadlines
  • Coordinate client meetings
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients and carriers
  • Reviews contracts, recommends risk transfer, checks for compliance
  • Identifies new exposures
  • Communicates with producers and team regarding clients
  • Participate in comprehensive risk management program
  • Prepares synopsis and analysis as required
  • Analyze client data to identify coverage and risk management needs.
  • Answer underwriting questions
  • Negotiate pricing and products
  • Prepare, maintain, and verify client billings and invoices
  • Reviews certificates for special wording
  • Prime contact with client besides producer
  • Assist in cross sell opportunities
  • Participate in initial meetings with clients and producers.
  • Organize team client strategy meetings
  • Uses independent judgment

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required (or ability to obtain immediately).
  • 5+ years of commercial insurance agency experience.
  • Experience working with middle-market and complex commercial accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial coverages including Property, General Liability, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, and Workers' Compensation.
  • Proficiency with Applied Epic or other agency management systems preferred.
  • Industry designations such as CIC, CPCU, CRM, or AAI strongly preferred.
  • 5 plus years of insurance experience preferred
  • Insurance designations (CIC, CPCU, AAI, CRM) preferred
