Inside Sales Representative

This fully remote, quota-carrying role is responsible for driving end-to-end sales of research-grade products and manufacturing solutions across the life sciences sector. You will manage opportunities from lead generation through deal closure while developing and expanding relationships with research-focused customers. A key part of the role is identifying and qualifying clinical-stage opportunities and transitioning them to business development partners to strengthen the GMP pipeline. You will also collaborate with technical sales teams to support technical qualification and value-based solution selling. The position combines commercial ownership with scientific and technical engagement, particularly across cell and gene therapy applications. It is an opportunity to help life sciences customers address complex drug development challenges while contributing directly to revenue growth.
- Own the full sales cycle for research-grade products and manufacturing solutions, from prospecting and lead generation through opportunity development, negotiation, and deal closure, while maintaining disciplined funnel management.
- Proactively engage, retain, and grow a portfolio of research-grade customers by understanding their needs, communicating product value, and identifying opportunities to increase order volume and account growth.
- Identify, qualify, and appropriately transition GMP and clinical-stage leads to business development stakeholders, helping build and accelerate the clinical sales pipeline.
- Collaborate with technical sales specialists to support technical qualification, understand customer requirements, and develop value-based, modality-specific solutions for cell and gene therapy developers.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and life sciences innovators, helping them navigate complex drug development requirements and connecting their needs with relevant products and manufacturing capabilities.
- Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline information, and customer interactions while using structured sales processes to prioritize opportunities and support predictable commercial execution.
- Participate in client-facing and internal meetings requiring travel of approximately 5–10% within the assigned territory or to relevant company locations.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of sales, technical, or customer service experience within life sciences, biotechnology, or another related technical industry.
- Demonstrated ability to learn, understand, and clearly communicate complex scientific and technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong consultative selling, relationship-building, communication, and customer engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical information into meaningful customer value.
- Ability to manage a sales funnel independently, prioritize opportunities, follow through on leads, and work toward quota and revenue objectives.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with technical sales, business development, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with CDMO, CMO, or CRO services, cell and gene therapy, vaccines, or broader drug development is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce is preferred.
- Experience selling or supporting research reagents, plasmid DNA, mRNA, or related life sciences products is advantageous.
