Main Purpose of Job
The Integrated Operations Manager is an internal MDE position that\r\nserves as the strategic lead for the Maryland Department of the Environment’s\r\ncentral logistics and information hub. The incumbent in this position\r\ntranscends traditional warehouse management by synchronizing physical asset\r\nmanagement with digital workflow modernization. The incumbent provides\r\ncomprehensive oversight of the Mailroom, Warehouse, Receiving, and Supply Store\r\noperations, ensuring that the movement of information (mail and digital\r\nrecords) and physical materials (supplies and assets) is seamless,\r\ncost-effective, and audit compliant. The Administrative Officer II will lead\r\nthe department’s transition to digital document workflows and implementing\r\ndata-driven inventory controls. The incumbent will ensure operational\r\ncontinuity for a workforce of more than 950 employees while maintaining the\r\nphysical integrity and digital accuracy of all agency resources.\r\n�\r\nThe working conditions of this\r\nposition may involve:\r\n\r\n\r\n Exposure to uncomfortable or unpleasant\r\n surroundings.\r\n Work may involve exposure to fumes from sprays\r\n and other materials, as well as areas with high noise levels. The position may\r\n require working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.\r\n Exposure to hazardous conditions, which may\r\n result in injury.�\r\n Work involves exposure to ice and snow,\r\n flammable liquids, electrical circuits, mechanical equipment and hazards.\r\n Work involves special physical demands such as\r\n lifting 50 pounds or more, climbing ladders, etc.\r\n Use of protective equipment such as googles,\r\n gloves, mask, etc.\r\n\r\n\r\n�\r\nThe incumbent in this position\r\nwill be required to drive a State vehicle.��If you maintain an\r\nout-of-state driving license, you must provide a certified copy of your driving\r\nrecord for the appropriate Motor Vehicle Administration at the time of\r\nappointment. Individuals must maintain a driver's license with no more than 5\r\npoints on their driving record in order to drive a State vehicle.\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \r\nExperience: Two years of administrative staff or professional work. \r\nNotes: \r\n1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for one year of the required experience. \r\n2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university for the required experience. \r\n3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. \r\n
