We are seeking passionate individuals for the role of DJS Assistant Area Director (Senior Program Manager), so join our team and make a meaningful impact on youth and the community at DJS!�\r\n\r\n\r\nThis position is responsible for managing the Capital South Region- Prince George’s field services offices in Largo and Montgomery County. The Assistant Regional Director, under the direction of the Regional Director, oversees the staff and daily operations of the offices and programs within the Capital South Region as well as other programs and initiatives assigned. The Assistant Regional Director is responsible for in excess of 40 staff members and resources in two offices and directly supervises five managers as well as some specific programmatic staff.�\r\n\r\n\r\nSome key responsibilities of this position may include, but not be limited, to the following:�\r\n• Interprets and implements departmental polices, programs, rules, regulations, standards, and controls within a designated geographical area.�\r\n• Schedules, plans and conducts supervisory staff meetings to direct supervisory professional staff in implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and methods for dealing with local problems.�\r\n• Directs the supervision of child and family casework through regular case conferences and management meetings with Case Management Supervisors.�\r\n\r\n\r\nRegular work schedule to be flexible and may require telework protocols. Work schedule may involve non-traditional hours to meet the needs of the youth, families, and partners; may include nights and weekends.\r\n\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:�Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an\r\naccredited college or university.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nNote:�An Associate of Arts degree in the social or\r\nbehavioral sciences or criminal justice from an accredited college or\r\nuniversity and three years of experience supervising case management staff may\r\nbe substituted for the required Bachelor’s degree.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience:�Five years of experience providing case\r\nmanagement services to emotionally or socially maladjusted, delinquent,\r\nvictimized, or exceptional juveniles in a community or residential setting. One\r\nyear of this experience must have involved the supervision of case management\r\nservice staff.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nNote:�A Master’s degree in the social or behavioral sciences\r\nor criminal justice from an accredited college or university and two years of\r\nexperience supervising case management staff may be substituted for one year of\r\nthe required general experience. \r\n
