Nature of Work
The\r\nfundamental reason this position exists is to perform food preparation and\r\nservice related tasks.� The food service\r\nenvironments include areas such as concessions, fast food, special events, and\r\ncatering events. The work responsibilities of this classification are: performs\r\ninventory and cashier duties; cooks and serves food items and/or meals; cleans\r\nand maintains the kitchen and dining area; and contributes to department\r\nobjectives. ��The Food Services Worker I\r\nis supervised by the Food Services Worker II and the Food Services Supervisor.\r\n
Minimum Qualifications
Six months of\r\nfood preparation experience (other than salad bar preparation) that includes\r\nmaking money transactions.\r\n\r\n\r\nNOTE:� Qualifying education, training and experience\r\nthat provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job\r\nwill be considered.\r\n\r\n
Special Requirements
Must\r\nbe willing to submit to criminal background check. Work will include nights,\r\nweekends and holidays.� Must have and\r\nmaintain a valid Alabama Driver’s License and insurable driving record as\r\nneeded to operate City owned vehicles to transport food items and\r\nsupplies.\r\n\r\n\r\nAGE REQUIREMENT:�Must\r\nbe at least 21 years of age and able to serve alcoholic beverages.\r\n\r\n
