We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our growing sales team. Based in South Korea, you will serve as MinIO's primary market presence for inbound and outbound pipeline generation across the Korean market. You will manage and qualify inbound demand, execute targeted outbound prospecting, and work closely with Account Executives to advance opportunities across the data infrastructure and AI storage landscape. This role requires full professional fluency in both Korean and English.
Responsibilities

- →Respond rapidly to all inbound MQLs in your assigned territory (pricing and demo requests, content downloads, AIStor trial downloads, etc.).
- →Qualify inbound leads for ICP alignment, workload fit, storage scale, environment, and project timing.
- →Schedule and confirm qualified meetings for Account Executives.
- →Document all research learnings and call notes clearly in CRM to ensure strong AE handoffs.
Outbound Prospecting
- →Research and identify target accounts using intent data, account signals, and MinIO's intelligence systems.
- →Execute personalized outbound sequences via email, phone, and LinkedIn targeting infrastructure, data engineering, and AI/ML personas at Korean enterprises.
- →Develop strategies to convert MinIO's open-source user base into commercial customers within the Korean market.
- →Collaborate with Account Executives and marketing to align outbound efforts with account-based plays and active campaigns.
Live Chat & Digital Engagement
- →Serve as a primary responder for website live chat inquiries.
- →Engage prospects in real time, to understand use cases and urgency.
- →Convert chat conversations into qualified meetings.
Campaign & Event Follow-Up
- →Follow up on leads generated from paid media campaigns targeting the Korean market.
- →Support pre-event meeting recruitment and post-event follow-up for Korean and broader APAC events.
- →Schedule meetings tied to webinars, field events, and regional conferences.
- →Provide feedback to marketing on lead quality and regional trends.
Pipeline Development
- →Build multi-threaded outreach into target accounts, engaging both technical and business stakeholders.
- →Provide ongoing feedback to sales and marketing on prospect sentiment, objections, and market dynamics specific to Korea.
- →Maintain Salesforce, HubSpot, and Outreach with accurate, up-to-date activity and qualification data.
Success Metrics
- →Meetings held with Korean accounts
- →Meeting-to-Stage 1 opportunity conversion rate
- →Speed-to-lead for inbound Korean MQLs
- →CRM data completeness and accuracy
Requirements
~1 min read- 2–4 years of experience in BDR/SDR, inside sales, or demand generation in B2B technology.
- Full professional fluency in Korean and English (written and verbal) required.
- Demonstrated success prospecting into Korean enterprises or local subsidiaries of global companies.
- Experience with outbound sequencing tools and CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach).
- Familiarity with data infrastructure, cloud storage, AI/ML, or related enterprise software.
- Understanding of enterprise sales cycles and qualification methodologies.
- Knowledge of Korean business culture and enterprise buying dynamics.
- Self-directed with strong research skills and a data-driven approach to prospecting.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
