Leasing Consultant
Property: The View at Crow Creek - Calabash, NC
Summary
The Leasing Consultant is the first point of contact for prospective and current residents and is responsible for all leasing activities from lead generation to closing. This includes managing prospect traffic, conducting tours, qualifying applicants, and renewing leases. The role also focuses on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining resident relationships. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full leasing cycle: lead generation, tours, application processing, and closing
- Respond to and follow up on phone, walk-in, and online leads
- Generate traffic through outreach, referrals, and marketing efforts
- Tour apartment homes and assess customer needs
- Close new leases and renewals by communicating community value
- Track and maintain leasing and renewal goals
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and prospects
- Address resident concerns and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with resident events and retention initiatives
- Support social media and marketing efforts
- Complete leasing documentation accurately and timely
- Maintain professionalism and strong organizational skills
- Assist with administrative tasks as directed by management
Qualifications and Skills
- Sales or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication, follow-up, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and goal-driven
- Ability to multitask and work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 6–12 months of related experience or equivalent combination
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively and handle basic math calculations
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Physical and Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with frequent movement around the property
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 10 pounds occasionally
