NOLA PROTECTION

NOLA Protection is seeking an experienced, dependable Security Screening Coordinator & Account Manager to lead security screening operations at professional NBA and NFL games and special events. This position is responsible for training and supervising X-ray screening personnel, maintaining efficient checkpoint operations, and ensuring that all guests, bags, and permitted items are screened in accordance with venue policies and applicable security procedures.

The ideal candidate is a confident leader with strong X-ray image interpretation skills, excellent judgment, and experience working in high-volume event or venue security environments.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Training & Supervision: Train X-ray screeners on equipment operation, image interpretation, prohibited-item detection, and proper screening procedures. Monitor screener performance and provide real-time coaching and corrective guidance.

  • Checkpoint Operations: Conduct pre-shift briefings, post assignments, and confirm that screening stations are properly staffed and operational before gates open. Maintain orderly, professional, and guest-friendly screening checkpoints in a fast-paced environment.

  • Safety & Threat Escalation: Identify suspicious or prohibited items and follow established procedures for escalation and notification.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate closely with venue security, law enforcement, event management, and other authorized personnel as needed.

  • Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure consistent compliance with NOLA Protection policies, venue requirements, emergency procedures, and applicable laws. Assist with drills, evaluations, refresher training, and quality-control reviews.

  • Equipment & Reporting: Inspect screening equipment, report malfunctions, and confirm required supplies are available. Document incidents, training activities, attendance, equipment issues, and employee performance as required.
     

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3–5 years of experience operating X-ray screening equipment in event security, aviation, government, corrections, transportation, or a comparable security environment.

  • Previous supervisory, team-lead, or training experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret X-ray images and identify weapons, prohibited items, and other potential threats.

  • Strong verbal communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records.

  • Successful completion of all required background checks, licensing, training, and venue credentialing.

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying event schedules dictated by NBA, NFL, and venue event calendars.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties associated with screening operations.
     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience supervising security screening at stadiums, arenas, concerts, or other large public events.

  • Certification or formal training in X-ray screening, security operations, or instructional methods.

  • Experience working with professional sports organizations or major entertainment venues.

  • Current security license or permit, where required.

SCHEDULE EXPECTATIONS

This role follows the NBA, NFL, and venue event calendars and includes nights, weekends, holidays, preseason games, postseason games, and special events. Employees must arrive early to participate in briefings, inspect equipment, and prepare screening checkpoints prior to gates opening.
