As an Afterhours and Weekend Carrier Sales Representative, working within Redwood Multimodal (one of our entities), you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and developing strong business relationships with service providers to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.

• Track load life cycle from shipment to delivery with an emphasis on inbound & outbound phone calls, but also utilize electronic means of tracking
• Communicate relevant freight updates to customers and/or internal carrier & operations teams
• Provide and negotiate freight rates to motor carriers (and internal sales team as needed), ensuring maximum profitability on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly basis
• Coordinate available customer freight with available motor carrier equipment
• Consistently provide service and support to motor carriers to build the business relationship
• Maintain a file of all open truck shipments and of records of trailers in assigned areas
• Communicate with motor carriers to schedule trucks and resolve issues
• Verify all freight charges, confirm receipt of Bill of Lading, and resolve all payables discrepancies prior to final payment to motor carrier
• Monitor Bill of Lading discrepancies to ensure proper return of commodity is arranged, as necessary
• Perform other related duties as assigned

This is a part-time, onsite/hybrid position. Employees will work 4–5 hour shifts scheduled within the 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. operating hours, Monday through Friday. Weekend shifts are mandatory, and employees will be required to work scheduled Saturday and Sunday shifts based on coverage needs. Some scheduling flexibility may be available.
