Goolsby’s is looking for dependable, hardworking cooks to join our kitchen team. Our cooks are responsible for preparing quality food, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and working efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

  Prepare and cook food according to Goolsby’s recipes and standards

• →

  Properly portion, plate, and present food

• →

  Complete food prep and stocking as assigned

• →

  Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station

• →

  Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

• →

  Properly operate and maintain kitchen equipment

• →

  Communicate with other kitchen team members and management throughout the shift

• →

  Keep up with ticket times and maintain quality during busy periods

• →

  Monitor food levels and communicate when items need to be prepped or restocked

• →

  Complete opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned

• →

  Properly label, date, store, and rotate food products

• →

  Help maintain overall cleanliness of the kitchen and back-of-house areas

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to follow recipes, directions, and food safety procedures

• Reliable and punctual

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to remain calm and productive during busy shifts

• Willingness to learn and take direction

• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry kitchen supplies

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up ready to contribute, and understands the importance of teamwork. The right person will be dependable, willing to learn, and able to keep up with the pace of a busy kitchen while maintaining Goolsby’s standards for food quality and cleanliness.

Part-time positions available. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required depending on business needs.
