We are a fast-growing packaging company supplying boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and related products to manufacturers and distributors. We are looking for a driven, self-managed Sales Representative to generate and close new business. This is an old-school, high-performance sales role focused on cold outreach, relationship building, and closing deals.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new leads through cold calling and field outreach
  • Conduct on-site client visits across Johannesburg
  • Identify customer needs and pain points
  • Collect product specs/samples for quoting
  • Prepare and negotiate quotes
  • Close deals and onboard new customers
  • Maintain and nurture client relationships (light touch after closing)
  • Collaborate with internal admin team for order processing

What We Offer

Base salary: ±R18K–R30K (depending on experience)
Commission: TBD
Large upfront commission per new client (e.g., % of first order)
Ongoing commission (±0.5%–1.5%) on all future invoices from that client
Potential to double or triple monthly earnings through performance
Travel/car allowance provided
  • Proven sales experience (B2B preferred)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-driven and independent (no micromanagement required)
  • High energy, positive attitude, and professional presence
  • Comfortable with cold calling and in-person sales
  • Organized and honest with strong personal accountability
  • Ability to think strategically and solve customer problems
  • Industry experience or existing network is a strong advantage
  • Consistently closing new clients
  • Building a strong pipeline of repeat customers
  • Generating significant recurring revenue
  • Earning well above base salary through commission
  • Self-reliance (“run your own business within the business”)
