The Payments Sales Manager leads ProfitSolv’s Payments Account Executive team, driving new merchant acquisition, revenue growth, and payments attach across the SaaS customer base. This role is responsible for managing the full payments sales cycle from demo through to activated customer, coaching AEs to consistent performance, and partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, and the SDR organization to build a high-converting, scalable payments sales engine. The Payments Sales Manager is a critical leader in executing ProfitSolv’s embedded payments strategy.

As a Payments Sales Manager, you will:
- Manage, coach, and develop the Payments Account Executive team through regular pipeline reviews, deal coaching, call shadowing, and performance management.
- Drive new merchant acquisition by overseeing the AE team’s execution of the full sales cycle — from qualification and demo through pricing, application, close, and customer activation.
- Own the team’s revenue and attach rate targets; monitor performance against key metrics and implement action plans to address gaps.
- Partner with the Payments SDR Manager to ensure alignment on lead quality, handoff processes, and feedback loops that improve conversion rates.
- Collaborate with the EVP of Payments and Revenue Operations on pipeline forecasting, reporting, and sales strategy refinement.
- Work closely with Payments Operations to ensure smooth merchant onboarding post-close and resolve escalations that impact pipeline or retention.
- Lead and oversee the Payments Special Operations function, maintaining accountability for wallet share expansion, activation recovery, dormant reactivation, and churn prevention initiatives.
- Partner with Marketing to support campaign execution, sales collateral development, and competitive positioning.
- Identify market trends, competitive intelligence, and client feedback to continuously improve the payments sales approach.
- Recruit and onboard new AE talent as the team scales; contribute to building a performance culture with clear accountability and recognition.
- Maintain accurate CRM documentation standards and enforce pipeline hygiene across the AE team.
- Engage directly on strategic and high-stakes deals, providing deal support and credibility in the field alongside AEs when it matters most.
- Make clear, timely performance decisions; hold reps to defined standards and take decisive action when performance expectations are not met.

A great fit for this position has:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in payments sales required; SaaS sales experience is a plus, with at least 2 years in a sales management or team lead capacity.
- Demonstrated success managing quota-carrying sales teams and consistently hitting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of integrated payments, merchant processing, and the software-led payments sales motion.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills; ability to motivate and develop talent at different experience levels.
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred) and strong analytical skills for pipeline management and forecasting.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without authority across Operations, Marketing, and Product.
- Results-driven and adaptable; comfortable managing in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
