The Lead Cook is an important part of the daily food service operation. You will assist with meal preparation while helping lead and maintain an organized, safe, and productive kitchen.

• →Leading, directing, and assisting inmates within the kitchen
• →Preparing, baking, and cooking meals
• →Following company recipes and established procedures
• →Helping ensure meals are prepared correctly and on time
• →Maintaining kitchen organization and cleanliness
• →Assisting with sanitation and kitchen clean-up
• →Working effectively as part of a team
• →Maintaining a professional attitude in a structured correctional environment

We're looking for someone who:

• Is dependable and motivated
• Has a positive, professional attitude
• Demonstrates strong character and leadership ability
• Can work successfully in a structured correctional environment
• Can read and follow company recipes
• Is comfortable assisting with cooking, baking, food preparation, and clean-up
• Can lift up to 50 pounds
• Is comfortable leading and assisting others in the kitchen

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work weekends and holidays
• Flexibility to work varying days and hours
• Typical schedule of approximately 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Ability to obtain the required facility clearance and approval
