JOB SUMMARY
The Regional Director of Sales – Europe is responsible for leading and executing the commercial sales strategy across Hotel Co 51’s European portfolio. This role provides strategic direction to regional sales teams, drives revenue growth across multiple Marriott brands and markets, and strengthens the company’s position within key business segments.
Working closely with Operations, Revenue Management, Marketing, and Group Sales, the Regional Director of Sales – Europe plays a key role in delivering commercial performance, developing talent, and identifying opportunities to grow market share and profitability across the region.
This position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and requires frequent travel across Europe.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with company priorities and segment goals.
- Drive revenue growth across transient, group, and catering business segments.
- Monitor commercial performance across the portfolio and implement strategies to improve results where needed.
- Partner closely with Revenue Management on pricing strategy, forecasting, RFP activity, and market positioning.
- Identify opportunities to increase market share, strengthen account performance, and improve profitability.
- Support priority hotels and markets with focused commercial initiatives and action plans.
- Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive activity to support strategic decision-making.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to regional sales teams across Europe.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing commercial culture focused on accountability and results.
- Coach and develop sales leaders and high-potential talent within the organisation.
- Partner with Human Resources on talent acquisition, succession planning, and employee development.
- Lead and support commercial change initiatives, new systems, and sales programmes across the region.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Build strong partnerships with General Managers, Regional Directors of Operations, and commercial stakeholders across the business.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Digital, Revenue Management, and Group Sales teams to maximise commercial opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders across European markets.
- Drive alignment and collaboration across regions to support cross-border business opportunities and shared commercial objectives.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure commercial activities and sales initiatives are aligned with company standards and brand expectations.
- Support consistent execution of sales processes, account management practices, and customer engagement strategies.
- Actively contribute to business planning and commercial decision-making within the senior leadership team.
- Champion a customer-focused approach that supports both commercial performance and guest satisfaction.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Significant experience in hotel sales leadership within a regional or multi-property environment.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and leading high-performing commercial teams.
- Strong experience in strategic account management and business development.
- Commercially driven with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Experience working across multiple European markets is highly desirable.
- Marriott brand or systems experience is an advantage.
- Fluent English required; additional European languages, particularly French, are preferred.

- This is a remote-based role within Europe.
