Reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage, this opportunity will manage the operations of Trivet Restaurant and In Room Dining encompassed under the JW Marriott Auckland.

The Restaurant Manager will:

  • Be responsible for restaurant shift operations and overall management of the team

  • Assist with promoting the restaurant, menu planning, maintaining service excellence, and driving a positive and luxury culture

  • Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed

  • Oversees the financial aspects of the department including delivering top line revenue, cost controls and labour management

  • Ensures compliance with all food & beverage policies, standards and procedures by training/supervising, the follow-up and hands on management

  • Strives to ensure guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget

  • Be accountable for enforcing all legal obligations professionally and consistently

  • Determine training needed to accomplish service goals and implementing robust plans

  • Strengthen the food and beverage/culinary team by assisting in other outlets when needed
