Responsibilities

  • Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing Back-of-House team.
  • Foster a positive, accountable culture where team members are supported, challenged, and recognized.
  • Lead by example while creating a safe, respectful, and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Maintain the highest standards of preparation, execution, and culinary excellence.
  • Drive pride and accountability in every plate that leaves the kitchen.
  • Manage daily kitchen execution, including prep, line operations, scheduling, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Ensure smooth, efficient service while maintaining quality and operational standards.
  • Partner with restaurant leadership to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
  • Train, mentor, and coach culinary team members through hands-on leadership.
  • Build bench strength and create opportunities for career advancement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Maintain strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
  • Ensure consistent execution of recipes, procedures, and operating systems.
  • Hold the team accountable to high standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, receiving, and product quality.
  • Control food cost through proper ordering, portioning, waste reduction, and inventory management.
  • Support labor efficiency and overall restaurant profitability.
  • 3+ years of Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or comparable culinary leadership experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
  • Experience leading a scratch kitchen environment strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to recruit, coach, and develop high-performing culinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, sanitation, inventory management, and food cost controls.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while maintaining exceptional standards.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
