Responsibilities

- Lead by example while creating a safe, respectful, and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Maintain the highest standards of preparation, execution, and culinary excellence.
- Drive pride and accountability in every plate that leaves the kitchen.
- Manage daily kitchen execution, including prep, line operations, scheduling, cleanliness, and organization.
- Ensure smooth, efficient service while maintaining quality and operational standards.
- Partner with restaurant leadership to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
- Train, mentor, and coach culinary team members through hands-on leadership.
- Build bench strength and create opportunities for career advancement.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
- Ensure consistent execution of recipes, procedures, and operating systems.
- Hold the team accountable to high standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee inventory, purchasing, receiving, and product quality.
- Control food cost through proper ordering, portioning, waste reduction, and inventory management.
- Support labor efficiency and overall restaurant profitability.
- 3+ years of Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or comparable culinary leadership experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
- Experience leading a scratch kitchen environment strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to recruit, coach, and develop high-performing culinary teams.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, sanitation, inventory management, and food cost controls.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while maintaining exceptional standards.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
