NextGen Hospitality Solutions is looking for a passionate and skilled Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef to join our team at Scratch Kitchen in Cleveland. As the Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that our dishes maintain the highest standards of quality and creativity. You will collaborate closely with our culinary team to create innovative menus, manage inventory, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards. Responsibilities

  • Manage daily kitchen operations and staff scheduling
  • Develop and execute innovative menu items
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Oversee inventory management and food cost control
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques and best practices
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service
  • Maintain a positive and productive kitchen environment
  • Monitor and manage food quality and presentation
  • Implement kitchen policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent culinary skills with a passion for cooking and food presentation
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
