Ready to take the next step in your sales leadership career? We’re looking for an experienced Sales Manager with a background in New Truck Sales, or proven success leading teams in automotive, fleet, or heavy equipment sales, to support and grow our business across two locations. Based in Roberts, WI, this role will lead and support our Roberts and Eau Claire dealerships, working closely with large accounts while developing sales talent. It’s an ideal opportunity for a driven sales leader ready to expand their influence, increase earning potential, and grow into a multi‑location management role.
New and Used Truck Sales Manager Responsibilities:
Plans and directs the new and used truck marketing activities of the dealership and branches assigned.
Plans, organizes, directs and controls the efforts of new truck sales and remarketing personnel
Develops strategies and procedures to efficiently meet sales goals
Analyzes the financial information and develops budget plans, and procedures to ensure financial goals are met.
Evaluates truck sales department performance against established targets and standards and takes appropriate action as necessary.
Controls truck inventory turns and gross profit, through analyzing market potential for used trucks.
Establishes and maintains satisfactory relations with customers, outside wholesalers, dealers, and others.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
New and Used Trucks Sales Manager Requirements:
Ability to train, supervise and motivate a team
Able to make recommendation on hiring, disciplinary actions and termination
Excellent communication skills both oral and written with the ability to effectively communicate via face-to-face and by phone
Excellent customer services skills
Computer proficiency
Knowledge of financial accounting, sales, and legal information including state and federal regulations.
Understanding of generally accepted sales practices and ability to communicate this information to other employees
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal without digital support
Ability to negotiate
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions
Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedure
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Ability to work with a diverse group of people, interact well with others and work well in a team environment
Ability to supervise and make decisions
Able to work well under pressure while assisting a wide variety of customers and fostering relationships with key industry contacts.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent; and five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
College degree in business; minimum five year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, previous experience in a position that involves supervisory experience
