General Summary: We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager with a strong blend of account management, strategic business development, and pre-sales expertise within the mobile/handset ecosystem. This role will drive revenue growth by expanding OEM relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and partnering with technical teams to deliver compelling solutions, POCs, and successful deal closures. Key Responsibilities Mobile/Handset Business Development & Strategy * Drive business development across global and regional handset OEMs, focusing on smartphone and connected device segments. * Identify and execute strategic growth opportunities across flagship and mass-market device portfolios. * Develop deep understanding of OEM product roadmaps, market trends, and competitive positioning to shape engagement strategies. * Contribute to long-term handset market strategy for India market. Account Management & Revenue Growth * Build and manage a strong opportunity pipeline, penetrate new OEM and partner accounts, and lead deal closure. * Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key stakeholders across OEMs, partners, and ecosystem players. * Act as the primary point of contact for customers, driving account growth, retention, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities. * Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements aligned with revenue and profitability targets. Pre-Sales & Solutioning * Partner with engineering and product teams to deliver tailored solutions, POCs, and technical value propositions aligned to customer needs. * Support end-to-end deal lifecycle from opportunity identification to sign-off. * Translate complex technical capabilities (5G, connectivity, wireless technologies) into clear customer value propositions. Cross-functional Collaboration & Market Insights * Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on handset-specific requirements and customer priorities. * Provide structured market feedback to influence product roadmap and solution evolution. * Represent the company at industry forums, OEM engagements, and key technology events. Experience Requirements & Skills * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; MBA preferred * 10+ years of experience in mobile/handset ecosystem, with strong exposure to wireless/connectivity technologies * Proven track record in driving business development with handset OEMs or mobile ecosystem partners * Strong understanding of smartphone lifecycle, OEM engagement models, and go-to-market channels (online, offline, LFR) * Established network and relationships across OEMs, partners, and distribution ecosystem * Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex deals and drive revenue growth * Strong skills in consultative selling, solution positioning, and executive communication * Experience in pre-sales, solutioning, and technical customer engagement * Proficiency with CRM tools, sales forecasting, account planning, and data-driven decision-making * Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate market signals into actionable business strategy Applicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
