Cook – Dietary Services Location: Unity Medical Center Schedule: Full-Time Pay: Starting at $14.00/hour About the Role The Staff Pad has partnered with Unity Medical Center to hire a Cook for their Dietary Services team. This role is responsible for preparing meals, maintaining sanitary kitchen conditions, and supporting overall food service operations to ensure a positive experience for patients, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Prepare and produce high-quality food following menus and recipes Prepare hot and cold food items as directed Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and temperature regulations Deliver and retrieve food carts and late trays Serve food in the cafeteria as needed Stock and organize food and kitchen supplies Clean and maintain all kitchen areas, including dish room, equipment, and storage spaces Monitor food temperatures and maintain proper documentation Follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision Promote a positive and professional environment with patients, staff, and visitors Comply with all organizational policies and safety standards Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English At least 1 year of food service experience preferred Basic math skills and ability to follow recipes Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks What We’re Looking For Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic Attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail Ability to remain flexible with scheduling and workload Comfortable working in a healthcare environment Why Join Unity Medical Center?
