With a team of approximately 1,400 employees and a turnover exceeding $100 million, UPA provides:

  • Residential Aged Care

  • Home Care Services

  • Retirement Villages

We are looking for a motivated Cook to join our team at Holbrook Village in Holbrook.

You will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences, while helping create a welcoming dining experience.

You will bring:

  • Knowledge of food safety standards and experience working to HACCP requirements

  • Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery/Hospitality

  • A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

  • An understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and special dietary requirements

  • Respect for residents’ rights, person-centred care and dignity of risk

  • Strong time management and communication skills

  • A flexible approach and the ability to manage change effectively

  • Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • A motivated approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a team

  • Availability to work weekend shifts

Experience in aged care and a current First Aid Certificate are desirable.

The successful candidate must complete, or be willing to undertake:

  • Vaccination requirements in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy, including evidence of the required doses of a TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza vaccination

  • A National Criminal History Check

  • A Pre-employment Medical Assessment
