Metrohm Canada is looking for a National Sales Manager to lead our Canadian commercial strategy and highâperforming sales teams nationwide.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- âSales Strategy & Execution:
Set and execute a national sales strategy aligned with Metrohm Canadaâs growth objectives, translating corporate goals into actionable regional plans while owning forecasting, pipeline performance, CRM discipline, and revenue delivery. - âSales & Marketing Team Development:
Lead, coach, and develop a highâperforming national sales organization, setting clear expectations, building territorial business plans, set clear KPIs and accountability frameworks, and fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement. - âCustomer & Market Engagement:
Act as a senior commercial leader with key and strategic customers, supporting complex opportunities, strengthening valueâbased selling, and adapting strategy based on market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. - âCrossâFunctional Collaboration:
Partner closely with Marketing, Product Management, Applications, Service, and Technical Support to ensure a cohesive goâtoâmarket approach, effective handoffs, and consistent messaging across the customer lifecycle. - âFinancial & Operational Accountability:
Own national sales budgets, forecasting, pricing discipline, and margin performance while contributing to annual business planning, executive reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and Canadian employment practices.
- 8â12+ years of progressive sales experience, including senior sales leadership roles
- Bachelorâs degree in chemistry or a related scientific discipline required
- MBA or masterâs degree preferred
- Equivalent combination of education & experience
- Strong background selling scientific instrumentation, laboratory solutions, or technical capital equipment
- Proven success leading a national or multiâregional sales organization
- Strong people leadership skills with a track record of building highâperforming teams
- High level of business, financial, and forecasting acumen
- Understanding of laboratory science and analytical chemistry
- Based in Ontario with regular national travel required
