Description:

The Facility Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily needs and maintenance of the organization's facilities. This role ensures that the facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained, providing a conducive environment for employees and visitors compliant with all regulations. This position would report to the Senior Director of Operations

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring timely and cost-effective services. Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs, maintenance, and renovations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support organizational needs and projects.
  • Space Planning: Coordinate space allocation and layout planning to optimize the use of facilities.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise vendors, maintenance workers and custodians.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement facility maintenance management policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify and address issues.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in facility management or a related role.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proficiency in facility management software, and knowledge of safety regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Required: HVAC Certification or degree, with preference for previous industrial HVAC experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; with equivalency considered for work experience. 
  • Certification in Facility Management (e.g., FMP, CFM).
  • Experience in managing large facilities or multiple locations.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Physical ability to conduct inspections and oversee maintenance activities.
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time (4+ hours). 
  • Ability to lift, push, and move objects up to 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding. 
  • Ability to drive in inclement weather. 
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $30-36 per hour, commensurate with experience
  • Health, Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability, and Life Insurance, with individual employee premiums covered by the company at 100%
    • Dependent premiums covered at 50%
  • 401k with Matching.
