An experienced CMF Designer who collaborates with the Design team, cross-functional stakeholders, and the Client to support the quality execution of VIP aircraft programs. This role ensures the integrity of the approved design intent is maintained across all phases of completion, from detailed development through production and delivery.

 

Responsibilities

  • Translate high-level design intent into clear, actionable direction for internal teams and suppliers.
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams, including supply chain management, engineering, and manufacturing, in order to ensure the design intent is met and executed.
  • Proactively address technical conflicts, material challenges, and constructability concerns.
  • Support and participate in client meetings, reviews, and decision-making sessions.
  • Maintains project material and fixture specification documents (MIDS and FIDS).
  • Evaluate finishes, craftsmanship, and installations to ensure the required level of quality.
  • Travels to inspect materials to ensure they meet quality and design intent, including monuments, leather, carpet, metals, veneers, and others, as required.
  • Adheres to project schedules and budget.
  • Maintain regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with 8+ years’ experience and/or training in high end architecture or interior design; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Aviation background and aircraft interior experience is a plus, but not required.

Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.

 

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Suite Products
  • Thorough knowledge of drafting interior elevations, cross sections, and architectural detailing is required
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team.
  • Strong understanding of materials, fabrication methods, and certification constraints (flammability, durability, maintainability)
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with team members throughout the design process.
  • Ability to travel, as required.
  • Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.
