Role Summary:
 
We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive to join Patsnap’s sales team based in Singapore, with responsibility for driving new business growth across the Australian market.
 
Australia is a new and strategic growth region for Patsnap, making this a rare opportunity to help establish our presence from the ground up. With no fixed vertical focus, you will have the autonomy to sell across industries, identify early market traction, and actively shape our go-to-market approach in the region.
 
You will own the full sales cycle end-to-end, from outbound prospecting and discovery through to negotiation and close, using a consultative sales approach to help customers leverage Patsnap’s innovation intelligence platform to accelerate R&D, navigate complex IP landscapes, and bring products to market faster.
 
This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role for a commercially driven AE who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building new markets, and wants to play a foundational role in Patsnap’s international expansion.
 
This is an in-office position based in our Singapore office.

  • Own and grow a greenfield Australia territory, identifying and closing new business opportunities across multiple industries
  • Prospect through a variety of channels (outbound, inbound, referrals, events) and convert leads into qualified opportunities
  • Lead full-cycle sales motions, including discovery, value positioning, stakeholder alignment, negotiation, and deal closure
  • Engage with R&D, IP, legal, and business leaders, tailoring value propositions to diverse stakeholder needs
  • Build early market insight by identifying verticals, use cases, and buyer personas with the strongest traction in Australia
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting using a data-driven sales approach
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets and KPIs
  • Develop deep expertise in Patsnap’s platform and the broader innovation intelligence / IP software landscape
  • 2–3+ years of full-cycle (360) SaaS sales experience, ideally in solution or consultative selling environments
  • Proven track record of exceeding new business targets
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, high-autonomy environments, with the ability to build a territory from scratch
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing longer or more complex sales cycles is a plus
  • Background in IP, innovation, R&D tools, data platforms, or adjacent B2B SaaS industries is advantageous but not required
  • Familiarity with or strong interest in the Australian market is highly valued (e.g. prior experience selling into ANZ or being Australia-based previously)
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership
  • Team-oriented and comfortable collaborating across functions and regions
