A thriving Los Angeles–based interior design studio and store is seeking a Shop Leader & Business Development Leader to lead daily operations while driving new business development within the city’s vibrant design community.

This hybrid role combines store management, in-store client engagement, and outbound sales outreach. The ideal candidate will not only ensure the smooth and successful operation of the showroom but will also leverage their established network of interior designers, stylists, architects, and tastemakers in LA to cultivate new accounts and strengthen long-term relationships.

This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial, polished, and connected professional who thrives in both luxury retail and relationship-driven sales, someone who can take ownership of the company’s success while representing the brand at the highest level.

Our shop is located in West Hollywood, a global hub for design, creativity, and culture. Surrounded by renowned design showrooms, tastemaking boutiques, and some of the most influential creative professionals in the industry, the space serves as both our firm's design studio, a destination for clients and a platform for designers and makers.

From in-store artist exhibitions and curated pop-ups to ongoing partnerships with local tastemakers, the showroom is positioned as a key gathering place for the LA design community.

● Serve as the manager on duty at minimum at least three days per week for store open hours 10AM - 6PM (Required: opening and closing on Saturday).

● Oversee opening/closing, merchandising, inventory, and visual presentation.

● Mentor and train store associates (if applicable) and uphold all operational standards.

● Provide a high-touch, consultative sales experience to walk-in clients, designers, and trade professionals.

● Assist with product knowledge, pricing, and special/custom orders.

● Build long-term client relationships through tailored solutions and elevated service.

● Ensure seamless order processing and POS accuracy, with best-in-class customer service.

● Mandatory attendance at in-store events.

● Conduct outbound calls, emails, and follow-ups to designers, stylists, and tastemakers.

● Leverage existing books of business to bring in new projects and accounts.

● Organize and lead outreach initiatives including showroom visits, presentations, and events.

● Maintain a robust database of industry contacts and project pipelines.

● Contribute to hyperlocal marketing, pop-ups, and showroom programming.

● Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with trade accounts.

● Strengthen top accounts through consistent communication and VIP service.

● Collaborate with company leadership and marketing on events, partnerships, and collaborations.

● Deliver a seamless, personalized journey from first contact through project completion.

● Resolve issues with professionalism and urgency, representing the brand’s values.

● Represent the company at showroom events, industry gatherings, and design fairs.

● 3–5+ years of experience in luxury retail, showroom management, or design industry sales

● An established network/book of business in Los Angeles within design, fashion, or lifestyle sectors

● Proven track record of business development, outreach, and sales growth

● Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

● Entrepreneurial, proactive, and polished in client-facing settings

● Adaptable and able to balance retail management with proactive sales outreach
