Teaching Operations Assistant We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Teaching Operations Assistant to provide essential logistical, administrative, and operational support to our Teaching Operations team. Reporting to the Teaching Operations Manager or Coordinator, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of teaching activities, maintaining high standards across the teaching environment, and contributing to an excellent experience for both learners and teachers. The Teaching Operations Assistant will be responsible for delivering a range of administrative and customer support services, responding to customer enquiries, and escalating more complex issues where appropriate. The role requires monitoring and supporting the movement of Young Learner students to ensure their safety while on the premises and promptly highlighting any concerns that may impact service delivery or the customer experience. A significant aspect of the role involves supporting the organisation and delivery of classes, registrations, events, and other activities. This includes preparing and setting up classrooms in line with organisational standards, coordinating room layouts with contracted staff, and ensuring teaching spaces are fully operational. The post holder will perform basic troubleshooting of classroom technology, including interactive whiteboards, and liaise with IT support teams when further assistance is required. The role also involves reporting maintenance issues relating to facilities and equipment and working closely with internal teams to support timely resolution. The successful candidate will provide general administrative support through activities such as filing, scanning, archiving, maintaining accurate records, updating databases, and assisting with document management. In addition, they will support the Marketing team by maintaining records of promotional materials and ensuring information is kept up to date. As part of the operational function, the Teaching Operations Assistant will monitor the availability of resources, stock, equipment, and materials, ensuring everything is prepared and available when needed. The role is also responsible for monitoring the cleanliness and presentation of classrooms and public areas, ensuring facilities consistently meet organisational standards. Any issues relating to cleaning or facilities management services will be reported and escalated as necessary. The post holder will also serve as the primary point of contact for deliveries to the Teaching Centre. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively plan and prioritise their workload, adapt to changing operational requirements, and coordinate the activities of external contractors and service providers. Strong communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach are essential to succeed in this role. About You (essential requirements for the role): * Experience working in a multi-cultural organisation in an international context. * Ability to build effective relationships with employees and management to achieve the delivery of high quality and effective professional services * Minimum of 1 year of full-time work experience * The British Council systems and global processes operate in English. Written and verbal proficiency in English is required * High School Certificate Desirables: * University Graduate or Diploma in any field Further Information: * Role: Teaching Operations Assistant (49710) * Number of positions: 1 * Pay Band: 2 J * Location: Bucharest, Romania * Contract type: Fixed term contract 1 year. * Gross Monthly Salary : 5200 RON * Working hours: Tuesday to Saturday * Weekly rotating shifts: 08:00 - 16:00 or 12:00 - 20:00 * Flexibility to work either shift pattern on a rotational basis is required * Closing date: 19th August 2026, (11:59pm GST time) * Other: This role is open to candidates who have the legal right to work and are located/based in Romania. *Please note that all applications should be submitted only in English. *It is advisable to apply in advance to avoid any technical issues at the last moment
