Main Purpose of Job
This is a key position that fulfills critical functions for the Talbot County Department of Social Services by performing agency and Director administrative support functions, as well as duties related to risk prevention and mitigation, information technology, communication and outreach, finance, and personnel.�\r\n
POSITION DUTIES
\r\n Manages activities of Director’s office.�\r\n Administrative, Service, FIA, CS, and LGA procedures.\r\n Maintains and files confidential records.�\r\n Works closely with Director to plan regular executive team, management team, and all staff meeting agendas.\r\n Attends & takes minutes for Executive & Management Team meetings where policy and procedures are formulated, budget is developed and reviewed, and personnel issues may be discussed.\r\n\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Please read all requirements before applying.\r\nEducation:���Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.\r\nExperience: Three years of administrative staff or professional work. \r\nNotes:\r\n1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to two�years of the required experience.�\r\n2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree�from a college or university�for the required experience.\r\n3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included the regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required�experience.��\r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants�who possess the following preferred qualification(s).�Include clear and specific information on your application regarding�your qualifications.\r\n\r\n\r\n One year of experience working in Administrative Support role at the Executive Level.\r\n One year of experience with Google Workspace (G-Mail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.).\r\n One year of experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom, Google Meets, MS Teams.\r\n One year of experience with SailPoint, Workday, and the State of Maryland Financial Mgmt. Info Systems (FMIS).�\r\n\r\n\r\n
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.\r\n
