Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Types correspondence to be sent to property owners for nuisance abatement. Maintains current record of all vacant properties within the city and corresponding owners. Calculates lien amounts and prepares liens and lien releases for filing with county clerk. Files records electronically with county clerk. Communicates directly with property owners, city contractors, and citizens to resolve problems. Modes of communication include but are not limited to one-to-one interactions, telephone and email. Coordinates city contractors to perform nuisance abatement on various properties throughout the city. Prepares invoices, purchase orders, and cash payment requisitions to pay city contractors and bills property owners for work performed. Receives money and issues receipts. Organizes delinquent accounts for purpose of collections.
Qualifications: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Minimum four to six years related clerical or secretarial experience or combination of experience and college education with emphasis in collections of delinquent accounts. Demonstrate effective communication, writing and analytical skills.

- From 11 to less than 21 years of service – four weeks of vacation per year.
- From 21 to less than 26 years of service – five weeks of vacation per year.
- From 26 years of service and up – six weeks of vacation per year.
