Administrative Coordinator

Our team members advance our mission and exemplify excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose in all that they do. Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Nursing Administration team in the role of Administrative Coordinator.

We are seeking a proactive, personable, and operationally sharp coordinator to provide high-level administrative support to the Director of Clinical Operations and unit managers at Bloomington Hospital. You will also conduct all RN candidate interviews for Bloomington Hospital, coordinate candidate shadows, and connect prospective nurses with the right unit and manager. You're not just keeping the office running - you're helping shape the nursing team that delivers care to Bloomington's patients every day.

Key Relationships

Reports to: Director, Clinical Operations

Direct reports: No

Shift: Full time, Monday – Friday, onsite  

Location: Bloomington, IN

The Scope: 

This role supports clinical operations administrative and functional interviewing needs at Bloomington Hospital, including:

  • Managing the Director's calendar and the calendars of three-unit managers with high autonomy
  • Taking notes and transcribing meeting minutes, tracking action items, and following up as needed
  • Coordinating supply ordering and ensuring day-to-day office operations run smoothly
  • Supporting department-wide project coordination and tracking
  • Conducting functional interviews with all RN candidates for Bloomington Hospital - assessing fit and connecting candidates with the right unit and manager
  • Coordinating RN candidate shadows and serving as a warm, welcoming first point of contact for prospective nursing team members
  • Assisting with preparation of high-quality presentations, reports, and correspondence

 

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for this position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires intermediate experience in receiving, analyzing, and interpreting complex data and information.
  • Experience with a matrix organization and complex work environment is preferred.
  • Requires advanced proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
