Front Desk Coordinator Responsibilities
Salem Montessori School
The Front Desk Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for families, visitors, staff, and prospective families. This role supports the daily operations of the school through excellent customer service, effective communication, organization, and administrative support while promoting a warm, professional, and welcoming Montessori environment.
- Greet and assist families, visitors, and prospective parents.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide basic information about school programs, policies, and events.
- Maintain a welcoming and orderly reception area.
- Assist with parent communications and school announcements.
- Prepare admissions tour packets and information materials.
- Welcome and assist new families
- Monitor student arrivals and departures.
- Assist with attendance records and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
- Support families with forms, schedules, and school information.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student and family information.
- Help coordinate student and staff records and updates.
- Assist with filing, data entry, and record keeping.
- Prepare copies, packets, labels, and classroom materials as needed.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Support leadership with special projects and reports.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Assist in preparing newsletters, calendars, and family communications.
- Help assist with school events, parent education nights, and community gatherings.
- Maintain the staff bulletin board with daily information.
- Ensure families receive timely communication regarding their child.
Responsibilities

Expectations:
- Monday-Friday
- Hours available 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 pm
- Ability to be on your feet
- Ability to lift and move 25 lbs
Requirements:
- Ages 18 or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with Microsoft and Microsoft Extensions Preferred
- Must be able to see and read to complete forms, read reports, and visually determine the correct working order of physical aspects of the front office
